2019-2021 State Board of Directors: Run-off Election for President and Oahu-at-Large

The 2019-2021 HGEA State Board of Directors run-off election for the President and Oahu-at-Large seats is moving forward after a ruling on Friday, July 12, 2019, by an AFSCME Judicial Panel investigator. In a ruling from the bench, Richard Abelson, Chairperson of the Judicial Panel, stated that HGEA must follow the AFSCME constitution election code rules for majority vote and ordered a run-off election between the top two candidates in the President and Oahu-at-Large races. Previously the Elections Committee had announced, via eBulletin, a run-off election for those two seats; however, there was a delay due to election protests.
